A talk on science, spirituality & enhancing productivity by Swami Shailendra Saraswati.

A talk on science, spirituality and enhancing productivity by Swami Shailendra Saraswati, an expert of Metaphysics and a graduate of IIM-A. Swamiji spent the afternoon of January 28, 2010 with our students sharing brilliant techniques on enhancing efficiency by meditation.

Swami Shailendra Saraswati has completed PGDM from IIM-A. He also has a B.Sc (Honours) in Physics from Delhi University and M.Sc with specialisation in elementary particle physics. He has served as founding Principal of Maharishi College of Management at Nairobi, Kenya, and Dean of faculty at Majority International University, Oslo, Norway. He also taught managerial statistics and physics at Maharishi University of Management at Fairfield, Iowa, USA. After working with the public sector for a few years he took to learning Maharishi Mahesh Yogi’s transcendental meditation at a forest academy in Finland.

During his interaction with our students Swamiji discussed the need for time management and emphasized its importance for the holistic development of a student more so for the one aspiring to be a successful manager and a leader. He emphasized that meditation from his perspective does not actualize the way it has been practiced over the ages by many priests and philosophers. He discussed and practiced his technique of meditation with the students and faculty and insisted that practicing the same for 40 minutes daily would substantially enhance their energy and efficiency levels. The participants found the technique and the lecture very useful. The same was concluded by a question and answer session between the students and swamiji.
